Forces on a Kite

Gravity is the force that pulls things down to earth.

Drag is the force that slows things down

Thrust is the force that makes things move

Lift is the force that pushes things up

Tamarereti

A Taniwha lived in Lake Taupo.

He ate people when it was night .

Tamarereti threw the stones into the sky . He made the stars .

The Taniwha was scared of the stars . 

Making a Kite

On the first day of term we made kites. Miss King gave us no instructions and we could only choose three materials. All of us had problems creating our kites. Some of us gave up and some of us made something. No ones kite flew. We have lots to learn before we can make a kite that will fly.

Beach trip

Room 13 went down to the beach in the rain. First we threw clay. I threw clay at Caleb. Then I was in his team.

After that we found crabs. They bit me all over the place. One was crawling on me and I flicked it into the bucket.

Finally we cleaned ourselves by rolling on the grass. We washed ourselves at the tap.

I had lots of fun.

Swimming

Look  at  me I can swim. I went to  the pool with my friend.  I like swimming.
